RH London & Milan Galleries
RH’s London and Milan galleries are carefully designed spaces where architecture, interiors and furnishings come together to create the distinctive RH environment. VGL was appointed to produce external RH branding, internal wayfinding and graphic details throughout both locations.
The scope of the project covered a range of bespoke signage and graphic applications, with specialist finishes used to complement the interiors and architectural character of the galleries.
Illuminated Gold Leaf Lettering
The external RH logos were created as built-up illuminated letters with a hand-applied gold leaf finish. The combination of illumination and gold leaf gave the exterior branding a prestige finish, with the lettering forming part of the architecture.
Inside the galleries, VGL produced the wayfinding signage using laser-cut acrylic and aluminium letters. Depending on the application, the lettering was either painted or finished in gold leaf, bringing the same level of material detail into the interior spaces.
Metallic Graphics
Vinyl graphics were also produced throughout the galleries in metallic gold and bronze finishes, complementing the materials and finishes used across the interiors.
The metallic graphics added another layer of detail to the spaces, carrying the gold and bronze finishes throughout the RH galleries.
The Perch, London
The London gallery also features The Perch, RH’s rooftop bar, where VGL produced the bar name signage and lettering for the hologram. VGL carried the same approach into The Perch, using bespoke lettering for the bar signage and hologram.
A Consistent RH Identity
Across both galleries, different graphic applications were brought together through a considered use of materials, finishes and lettering. From the illuminated exterior logos to the internal wayfinding, metallic graphics and The Perch signage, each element has its own purpose within the space yet carries the same visual character.
VGL manufactured and installed the graphics and signage across both locations, bringing the RH identity through the galleries in a consistent way.
