At VGL, we are proud to collaborate with NHS Trusts across the UK, delivering high-quality visual graphics to enhance healthcare environments. Our expertise helps create functional and inspiring spaces for staff, patients and visitors alike. With a growing portfolio of successful NHS projects, we are committed to expanding our support for the healthcare sector.
Our graphics on the Horton General Hospital’s Children's Ward were designed by Peagreen to create a bright, welcoming and engaging space for young patients and their families. Thoughtfully designed graphics help to create a reassuring and friendly environment, easing anxieties for children visiting the hospital. Working closely with Oxford Hospitals Charity, artlink - the hospital art programme and staff on the ward - Peagreen ensured that the designs complemented the hospital’s existing branding and wayfinding systems.
Our visual enhancements in the outside garden area at Ashford & St Peter’s Hospital were designed to provide a tranquil and inviting environment for patients, staff and visitors. Thoughtfully crafted graphics and installations complement the natural surroundings, helping to create a peaceful retreat within the hospital grounds. VGL outdoor graphics help contribute to a more relaxing and restorative environment, promoting mental and physical wellbeing.
This work was a collaboration of local designers along with University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust and Willis Newson. The wall murals and wayfinding graphics at Brighton Hospital were designed to both guide visitors and brighten up the hospital environment. The murals not only serve as a navigation tool but also offer a calming and engaging visual experience for patients and visitors throughout the hospital. Working closely with the hospital team, our designs were custom-made to align with Brighton Hospital’s specific requirements and patient care objectives.
The Artwork on the Butterfly Bereavement Suite was designed by Ella Doran to provide a serene calming environment for families during a difficult time. The space was thoughtfully enhanced with subtle, soothing designs that create a sense of tranquillity, helping to offer comfort and support for grieving families. Ella collaborated closely with the Charity and hospital team to ensure the suite met the emotional and practical needs of families, creating a supportive and private space for reflection. The Project was developed by Artlink, the Hospital Art Programme, and funded by Oxford Hospitals Charity
Our vinyl installations in Children’s Wards were designed by artist Steve Smith aka Neasden Control Centre to create a cheerful and engaging environment for young patients. Steve's vibrant, playful designs, funded by Oxford Hospitals Charity, help transform the ward into a more welcoming space, bringing joy and comfort to children and their families during their stay. The graphics help ease the anxiety children may feel in a hospital setting, making their experience more positive and less intimidating. Mini Grey’s woodlands designs for the ENT Children’s Treatment Room distracts young patients during procedures.
With such a variety of successful projects across various NHS Trusts, we continue to develop creative graphics that enhance the experience for both patients and healthcare staff. Our focus is always on delivering premium durable designs that meet the unique needs of each healthcare setting.
