Introducing the new Inca Onset S20 Ultratone

Why is the Onset S20 special?
• The Ultratone ink system incorporating orange and violet.
• 156 print heads arranged across the full width of the print results in a print with no banding or stripes. Just one smooth image.
• Choice of print finishes from low glare to high impact gloss.
• Linear motors and vibration free bearings means quality and speed are consistent.
• High quality output at up to 250 square metres an hour.
• Rigid and flexible substrates up to 50mm thick and up to 3.1m x 1.6m.
Why Ultratone?
A typical flatbed digital printer will print using Cyan, Magenta, Yellow, and Black (CMYK) and image or colour will then be made up of these colours to create an impression of the image. However by just using CMYK the colour gamut is restricted and typically will match less than 37% of the intended colour. The result is a series of compromises. Vibrant photography and bright colours rendered dull and lifeless. Lower saturation and flat colours become common place.
At VgL we wanted to improve on that.
With Ultratone we add Orange and Violet to CMYK to end up with CMYKOV. This might sound like a Russian town in Siberia but it delivers something a little more exciting. Using CMYKOV we can match over 80% of all colours and with the increased gamut all colours are brighter and more vibrant.
Try it out.
